JOIN USA 13-year-old girl was found dead at a residential community school in Sarjapur on Thursday morning.
The deceased, Vyshali, was a fifth standard student at the community school run by the Indus International School in Sarjapur, the police said.
Vyshali was complaining of headache over a period of time and was even taking treatment for her ailment. On Wednesday night, she was complaining of headache and went to bed around 2 am when her friends were still studying, police added.
In the morning, the students were shocked to see her lying motionless on her bunker bed with froth coming out of her mouth. She was immediately taken to the school doctor who asked the school staff to rush her to a hospital.
She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. Vyshali’s body was then shifted to Oxford Medical College hospital for postmortem after which it will be handed over to the family.
The post-mortem confirmed that she had brain tumor, which ruptured to cause internal bleeding and eventually resulted in her death. There were no external injuries,” said Superintendent of Police, Anekal, Bengaluru rural, Bheemashankar Guled.
Vyshali was the daughter of Suguna, a flower vendor at a footpath in Madiwala. Her mother was unaware that Vyshali had such an ailment, the police added. Her father Rajendra deserted the family long ago.
Indus International School, which runs a community schooling program, adopts underprivileged children like Vyshali and imparts free education along with boarding and lodging.
One of the four students adopted by the school, Vyshali had been with the school for the past seven years, the police said.
Sarjapur police have taken up a case of unnatural death and are investigating further.
