Army man assaulted, robbed

An army man was assaulted by a group of men, who rendered him unconscious and escaped with his valuables near the Domlur flyover on Old Airport Road, East Bengaluru, on Tuesday.

Ajit Singh (31), a resident of Vimanapura near HAL, gained consciousness and found himself in the Sailors Academy quarters the following day.

According to the Jeevanbeema Nagar police, Singh was waiting for a bus under the flyover around 11.30 pm when the three men approached him and assaulted him. Caught unawares, Singh couldn't defend himself, and the suspects robbed him and escaped with his valuables.

The Jeevanbeema Nagar police have taken up a case of assault and robbery, and are verifying the CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects.
