Weekend lockdown: Bengaluru Metro services to be closed on Saturdays, Sundays till May 4

In view of the weekend curfew that will come into effect from April 24, the Namma Metro operations will be shut down on Saturdays and Sundays.
"Metro services will be closed down for the whole day (on Saturdays and Sundays) in view of the weekend curfew," Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said in a release.

Officials have also changed the timings of the week-day operations between Monday and Friday. Metro services will commence at 7 am but th last service from terminal stations will leave at 7.30 pm instead of the 9 pm at present.

Those travelling from Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Mysuru Road and Byappanahalli stations should be inside the station at least 10 minutes earlier. Passengers will get the connecting trains at the Kempegowda Metro Station.

BMRCL also urged the public to abide by the Covid-19 protocol.
