1984 Anti-Sikh riots: Sajjan Kumar will move SC

Last Updated 17 December 2018, 17:37 IST

Congress leader Sajjan Kumar would file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court's judgement holding him guilty and awarding him imprisonment till the remainder of his life in a 1984 anti Sikh riots case relating to killings of five people.

Kumar's counsel Anil Sharma said that the high court's judgement of 207-page would be studied and certainly a right to appeal would be exercised.

“We respect the high court's verdict. We could not convince the high court. We will surely file our appeal in the Supreme Court,” he told reporters after the verdict.
