With a stalemate in Parliament over the Pegasus spyware issue continuing for the 12th day, both Houses were adjourned soon after they began proceedings. 6 Opposition MPs who sloganeered and gathered near the Well of the Upper House have been suspended for the day. The Lower House too saw upheaval with Lok Sabha being adjourned as soon as it began. 1 Bill has been passed in the Lower House so far while 2 were passed in the Rajya Sabha. The Centre said on Wednesday that Indian citizenship to the eligible beneficiaries under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be given only after rules under the legislation are notified.
