KCR arm-twisting AP people: Naidu

Last Updated 25 July 2019, 13:13 IST

Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, addressing an election rally in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is arm-twisting Andhra businessmen and realtors who have properties in Telangana into supporting the YSRCP.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister KCR and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy are trying to weaken Andhra Pradesh and KCR is trying to establish a puppet government here to prevent AP's development," he said.

He claimed the Telangana government is using its might to terrorise the people of Andhra living in that state. The Telangana government is foisting land-grabbing cases against them and asking the Telangana registrar offices to not register the transaction of such people.

"They were in turn told by the authorities to cooperate with the YSRCP back home, lest they should lose the property," Naidu said.

He said that Andhra Pradesh employees in Hyderabad were shunted out of the APNGO home, which is a common property, by claiming that it belonged to Telangana.

The chief minister said the TRS government is trying to attack the economic roots of the people of Andhra who are residing in Hyderabad.

He said KCR is unable to digest the growth of Andhra Pradesh and is trying to destabilise the government with cooperation from the YSR Congress party.

KCR wants to dictate terms in Andhra Pradesh with the help of the YSR Congress, Naidu said, warning that the people of Andhra Pradesh will not tolerate such acts.

The chief minister said that the TRS government conducted raids on IT companies and had passed on the data from Andhra Pradesh to the YSR Congress party. "Now they are asking all Andhra Pradesh IT companies to go back to Andhra Pradesh," Naidu said.

"We have to win all the 25 parliament seats to teach a lesson to Modi, Jagan and KCR," he said.

Naidu also said that when Narendra Modi was asked to fulfill state bifurcation assurances and allot Special Category Status to the state, he began harassing TDP leaders through IT raids.
