Carrying out statewide raids on government officials facing corruption charges, the ACB officials raided the houses of officials in Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts. Ranging from KAS officials to ‘D’ Group officials, the officials targeted a total of seven officials.
A senior KAS officer and Administrative officer of Sakala Mission LC Nagaraj’s house was raided. Officials discovered an industrial purpose building, 11.26 acres of land in Nelamangala, 3 cars, cash worth Rs 43 lakh and other valuables.
Similarly, G V Giri, a Group ‘D’ assistant at a BBMP school in the Yeshwantpur division was also raided. The officials found six houses in Bengaluru,
4 cars, as many two-wheelers, 8 kg of silver and home appliances worth Rs 15 lakh at his house in Bagalgunte.
Raids at the house of Yelahanka Government hospital Physiotherapist S S Rajashekar revealed multiple flats and a hospital. Further, raids on Mayanna, First Division Assistant at BBMP, revealed four houses in Bengaluru, six residential plots, Rs 10 lakh fixed deposits, Benami property in three places and Rs 12 lakh worth of home appliances.
About five houses in Bengaluru, four houses in Nelamangala Taluk, 10 acre land in Magadi and Rs 98 lakh worth of home appliances were discovered at the house of Vasudev RN, former project director of Nirmiti Kendra, Bengaluru Rural district.
A similar raid on Revenue Inspector Lakshminarasimhaiah in Doddaballapura taluk revealed five houses and six residential plots and 15 kg of silver.
Search at the house of B Krishna Reddy, chief manager, KMF, revealed three houses, nine residential plots, 5.30 acres of agricultural land, one petrol bunk and Rs 3 lakh cash. ACB officials revealed that they are still collecting details about the bank transactions and value of the jewellery.
