Trinamool Congress Leader Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday backed Rahul Gandhi on his ‘democracy under attack’ remarks in London.

While speaking to ANI, he said that why should Rahul Gandhi apologize in parliament about something which he said outside the parliament, and also he said that he has heard his statement and he did not find anything derogatory to the nation.

TMC leader Shatrughan Sinha said, “It is for the first time in history that the ruling party itself is not letting the parliament function properly, it is unprecedented, ruling party knows what their performance has been in the elections of the three states which is why they are apprehensive about the upcoming elections.”

“Why should he apologize in parliament about something which he said outside the parliament, I have heard his statement and I did not find anything derogatory to the nation. The PM himself has said many things abroad, and many people have felt insulted by those things. On the contrary, the police officer got scolded by the thief."

"Rahul Gandhi and his party said they won’t apologise, when they haven’t made a mistake then why would they apologise?”
