Fresh spell of rain lashes Kochi after monsoon onset

As the monsoon arrives in Kerala, a fresh spell of rainfall lashed Kochi on June 9. Earlier on June 8, in a press release, IMD informed that the southwest monsoon has onset over the state of Kerala on June 8.

This year, monsoon onset is delayed against its normal date of arrival of June 1, as per IMD. The minimum and maximum temperatures will hover between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius.
