Kishan Kapoor

BJP leader Kishan Kapoor got 72.02% of the total votes in the Kangra Constituency of Himachal Pradesh. The runner-up Pawan Kajal of the Congress got only 24.59%. The rest of the candidates did not get more than 1% of the votes. Kapoor was a first-time contestant from the BJP.

Gopal Shetty 

Gopal Shetty contested from Mumbai North for the BJP and faced Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar for the Congress. He ended with an impressive 71.4% of the votes while Urmila finished with 24.4%.

Sanjay Bhatia

Sanjay Bhatia was the state convener of the Bharatiya Janata Party's local body cell. Bhatia won with 70.1% of the votes for the Karnal Constituency in Haryana. The Congress' Kuldeep Sharma in second place managed only 19.64%.

Amit Shah

BJP President Amit Shah contested from Gandhinagar in Gujarat and got 69.7% of the vote share against Congress candidate CJ Chavda, who finished with 26.3% vote.

Anurag Thakur

Son of a former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Thakur has been an MP since 2008. Thakur got 69.04% of votes and won the Hamirpur Constituency of Himachal Pradesh. Ram Lal Thakur of the Congress finished with 28.6%.
