In this episode of the Lead, Sahar Mansoor and Tim de Ridder talk about their book: 'Bare Necessities How to Live a Zero-Waste Life', what got them into zero waste, and more.

Ahmed Shariff: Hi, this is Ahmed Shariff and welcome to The Lead by DH Radio. We often wonder about the waste mess that we have created and one solution to clean up, or not add more to this mess, is to adopt a zero-waste lifestyle. But how can we?

To answer that question, we have today entrepreneur Sahar Mansoor, CEO of Bare Necessities, and author Tim de Ridder, who has written research papers, including on the livelihoods of low-income communities, and the benefits of carbon farming for indigenous Australians. Sahar and Tim have authored a sort-of guide called 'Bare Necessities How to Live a Zero-Waste Life'.

Hi Sahar and Tim, welcome to DH Radio. My first question is open to both of you. What made to write this book?

Sahar Mansoor: We have been in this sector trying to make sustainability information fun and accessible to as many people as possible. We have been doing various talks and workshops, teaching people how to make their own products...
