14-yr-old, LIC worker commit suicide

Two persons, including a teenager, committed suicide in two separate instances in the national capital on Friday, police said.

Abhijeet Parihar, 41, an LIC employee, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Pandav Nagar home at around 9:30 am.

“We have recovered a suicide note, which read that the deceased did not blame anyone for his actions,” police said.

Abhijeet lived with his wife, parents and two brothers. He was under stress and was under treatment for it. His body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Khichripur.

Study stressRakhi, 14, a student of standard ninet, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home in Mangolpuri on Friday afternoon.

Rakhi’s brother had discovered her body and informed the family, who then reported the matter to the police.

“The victim’s family claim she was weak in her studies and was under stress due to her upcoming exams,” police said.
