She had appeared for the test in the month of December 2010. Adithi, who has just crossed her teens, hails from a family of musicians. She is the granddaughter of M V Varaha Swamy, a great Gottu Vadya exponent of yesteryears.
She is the daughter of Geetha and Krishna Prakash, who are good connoisseurs of music. She was initiated in to music at an early age by her mother and took to violin.
She learnt the art of playing violin from one of the prominent violin teachers of Mysore, H K Narasimha Murthy. Since last five years, she is receiving advance training in music from Chitra Veena N Ravi Kiran.
She is one of the recipients of the scholarship for Karnatak classical music instituted by the Department of Culture, Government of India. She has also received scholarships from Sangeetha Nrutya Academy, Government of India and by NCERT.
Her tenacity of violin playing has made her a much sought after accompanist, not only in Mysore but also elsewhere, especially Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore. She also had an opportunity to accompany Sangeetha Kalanidhi Vellore Ramabhadran, when he gave a solo concert at Vani Vidya Kendra, organised by Malleshwaram Sangeetha Sabha, Bengaluru, during Navaratri music festival, in 2008.
She has won many awards during her young performing years. She has won the coveted TT Ranga Swamy memorial award during the 82nd annual conference of Madras Music Academy (2008). She was adjudged as the ‘Best Violinist’ from Madras Music Academy (2007), Best accompanist from Bengaluru Gayana Samaja (2005), “Kishora Pratibha’ (2005) and ‘Bala Pratibhe’ (2003) awards from the Department of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru. Akashavani ‘A’ grade is the feather in her cap, at this young age.
