After TV channels aired a video of Narendra Modi seeking votes for the BJP on Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party registered its protest with the EC and demanded action against the ''erring'' broadcast networks.

The party even dubbed the EC’s inaction on the violation of the Model Code of Conduct an “ostrich approach”

“The AAP is shocked to see the gross violation of the code by media houses and the ostrich approach of the EC on Monday, wherein TV news channels have broadcasted Narendra Modi’s live speeches. Headlines Today, IBN, Aaj Tak, Zee News etc telecast these speeches at 11:30 am,” said the complaint submitted to the poll panel.

The party asserted the fact that Modi himself was contesting from Varanasi. The party demanded that “strong and exemplary action against the erring TV Channels” be taken immediately.
