Brosnan had his daughter married weeks before her death

Pierce Brosnan had walked his sick daughter Charlotte down the aisle two weeks before she lost her battle with cancer.

Brosnan, 60, was at Charlotte's side when she wed her artist boyfriend Alex in a private ceremony. Charlotte's 15-year-old daughter, Isabella, was a bridesmaid.

Charlotte died on Friday after battling ovarian cancer, which also killed Brosnan's wife Cassandra, 22 years ago, the Mirror reported.

"It was the most moving day of my life. It wasn't a day to be sad. Alex and Pierce were smiling broadly," a guest said.

Brosnan later issued a statement to mourn the death of his 41-year-old daughter. He had flown back from filming 'November Man' in Belgrade to be at Charlotte's bedside in London before she died.

"On June 28 at 2pm my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life having succumbed to ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her husband Alex, her children Isabella and Lucas, and her brothers Christopher and Sean.

"Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our ­beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease is close at hand," the James Bond star had said.

Brosnan adopted Charlotte and Christopher, Cassandra's children from a previous marriage, in 1986. They had Sean together.

After Cassandra's death, Brosnan married Keely Shaye Smith in 2001 and the couple have two children, Dylan, 16 and Paris, 12.
