On Sunday, people woke up to an unusual surprise: the cover of TIME. Except this one showed Donald Trump, with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the background and the most surprising choice of words to describe the US President: 'Liar in Chief'.

The cover went viral quickly, spreading like wildfire on various social media websites, and it all started when  Mark Elliot shared the image on his twitter with the caption "Trump LOVES to frame magazine covers of himself. Let's make sure he considers next week's TIME cover.". The tweet was retweeted over 7000 times, leading to a quick spread in popularity among the denizens of the microblogging website.

Many people proclaimed TIME's apparent decision to go full-frontal with their bemoaning of Donald Trump, but as the cover quickly spread, TIME was forced to clarify that the cover, was in fact, a fake. However, this did not deter Elliot, who promptly got to making a poll asking people if the cover, even though fake, was correct in its assessment of the POTUS.

The damage was aldready done by that time, however, as the fake cover left the US shores and was shared even by bloggers in India.

TIME has been known to be unabashedly critical of Trump, even going so far so as to name him 'Person of the Year', a title they conferred upon personalities like Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler.
