The Haryana government will invest Rs 3,803 crore to strengthen power transmission network in the state in the next three years, said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda while inaugurating a 132 KV sub-station at Dabri in Karnal district on Tuesday.
Hooda said two units of 500 MW at Indira Gandhi Thermal Power Station in Jharli, and two units of 660 MW at Mahatma Gandhi Super Thermal Power Station in Jhajjar will start generating power this year.
The state will have an additional 2,200 MW to cater to the needs of consumers, he added.
To meet the state’s requirement, the government will set up five more sub-stations and the capacity of 102 existing sub-stations will be raised.
He said 3,630 km-long transmission lines will be erected to ensure uninterrupted power.
