Once the Aussies put up 381 on the board, it was easy to conclude that the Bangla Tigers would not win. They had been pummelled by England similarly, and they replicated that performance here. Put up a fight, lasted for 50 overs but that is the only consolation they have.
The chase started poorly, with Soumya Sarkar run out after a horrible mix up with Tamim, but then the latter joined hands with Shakib to put on a 50-run partnership. Stoinis snared Shakib before he could do much damage and Tamim fell soon after to Starc. Liton Das was taken out by Adam Zampa which was when Mahmudullah joined Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease. The duo counter-attacked well, putting on more than 100 runs together and the former helped himself to a fifty too.
They were only delaying the inevitable though, as Rahim brought up a fighting hundred in the penultimate over. He played well all day, getting everything off the middle but the target was just too far to even attempt. Australia go top of the table with this win while Bangladesh are most likely heading home.
It was a lot of fun to get you the updates. Do join us tomorrow again when England take on Sri Lanka. Till then, goodnight!

0.5 Mortaza to Finch, FOUR, oh that's a good shot! Angled into Finch, back of a length, he simply tucks it away to the square leg boundary. That was timed very well
0.6 Mortaza to FInch, DOT.
Bangladesh XI: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim(wk), Liton Das, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza(c), Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman
Australia XI: David Warner, Aaron Finch(c), Usman Khawaja, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey(wk), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa
Mashrafe calls it wrong and Finch wants to bat first. Says it is a good pitch and conditions to bat on. Stoinis, Zampa and Coulter-Nile are back in the side for Marsh, Richardson and Benrendorff for Australia.
Bangladesh would've wanted to bat first as well. My knees are going alright, I'm trying hard, says Mortaza. Rubel Hossain and Sabbir Rahman come in the place of Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain, the latter two being injured in the last game.
Bangladesh come into the game on the back of a tremendous run chase against the West Indies, where they chased down 321 with more than 7 overs to spare. Shakib Al Hasan is in the form of his life, leading the run-scoring charts. They look a well-rounded team, though they are prone to a couple of lapses during the middle overs.
Australia too come on the back of an impressive win against Sri Lanka, where they fought back well after the openers had threatened to take the game away. Before that, they made a similar comeback with the ball against Pakistan, so they are in red hot form as well coming into the match. It will be an interesting match-up, though Australia may go in slight favourites, owing to their reputation.
