BJP today stepped up its attack on AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal accusing him of dumping issues half-way and running away from answering questions, and said it did not need his advise on the kind of language to be used.

Charging Kejriwal with indulging in "hypocrisy" and "politics of convenience", it also said such a trend was worrying for the nation.

BJP also accused him of coming out in support of people charged with criminal sedition which showed his mindset and wondered if such a choice was in the interest of the country or was going to work against India.

"Kejriwal is known for dumping things half-way. His IRS (Indian Revenue Service) was dumped half-way. His India Against Corruption (IAC) was dumped half-way. Anna Hazare was dumped half-way. People of Delhi were dumped half-way. Now his candidates from all over the country are also dumped half way," BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.

Talking about the former Chief Minister telling Narendra Modi that he is not speaking the language appropriate for somebody who is being announced a prime ministerial candidate, she said, "Thank You, Arvind Kejriwal for coming out with lexigram on what is acceptable and what is not acceptable."

"You are now telling us as to who should use what language.... This kind of a hypocrisy, doing convenience politics, not answering questions. It is very very worrying that the nation is posed with this kind of a political discourse.

"I think it's time that he stops asking questions, answers everyone of them...I think Arvind Kejriwal should now focus and convince the people that he is here to answer also and not just pose questions," the BJP Spokesperson said.

Dubbing AAP as "Arvind Apna Propaganda" party, she said, "In your party's website, you have dumped Jammu and Kashmir.

"You have dumped people of J&K. Besides dumping of issues, he also ran away from answering our questions. ... being in support of people who are charged with criminal sedition clearly shows the mindset."
Sitharaman said till date there has no satisfactory answer from Kejriwal about funds that he has received from the Ford Foundation. "Let him answer it pointedly by showing when the funds were received and how they were spent," she said.

"I wonder, if these are the people who are now also standing up and saying we provide an alternative government.... Is this choice for us in this country, a choice in favour of India or is this a choice which is going to work against India," she said.

Sitharaman said for Kejriwal only two constituencies of Varanasi and Amethi are important from AAP perspective. "What happens to other candidates contesting all over the country? He has distanced himself from them."

She also attacked him saying that he was earlier terming all political parties as "chor" (thieves) and later had no qualms about sitting with one of the political parties when it suited him and when it came to the question of answering awkward questions he left that and ran away. She recalled that Kejriwal had even sworn by his children not to take anyone's support.

Talking about Kejriwal's vow to send former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in jail within 15 days of coming to power, she said, "Today when Sheila Dikshit is made a Governor, giving her all the immunity required from any prosecution, we don't even hear a whisper from Arvind Kejriwal. Did he ever protest?"

Sitharaman said, "Here is a clear expert who thinks it is his business to sit on judgement over anybody in this country. Who thinks who's authorised to ask only questions but never answers questions."

Raking up the controversy involving former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti and his alleged misbehaviour with some African women there, Sitharaman asked for whom did Kejriwal sit on dharna.

"He sat on dharna for a person who had misbehaved with women, who misused his official position forcing Delhi police to conduct a raid at midnight," she said.
