Manipal Academy of Higher Education is once again top among the private Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings for 2019, released recently. This year, 4,763 institutions from 151 countries were evaluated from the datasets, and over 1,230 institutions were considered in the final evaluation.
Sixty new institutions have made their first appearance in the final top 1,000 institutions from 85 countries. India has five new entrants.
MAHE has been ranked Number 1 private University in the country by THE WEEK for the fourth consecutive time this year, and the Education World survey also ranked the University at number one for the third time in a row this year.
In the fifteenth edition, the University has been ranked in the 751-800 range. The QS survey has classified MAHE’s research intensity as ‘high’. And the faculty-student ratio is pretty good as well. The indicators and weightings, which make up the methodology, are academic reputation, faculty-student ration and citations.
