The three BJP-ruled municipal corporations will felicitate Sushil Kumar, London Olympics silver medalist in wrestling, on his arrival to Delhi.
The state Bharatiya Janata Party unit has written to all the three mayors of Delhi in this regard.
Congratulating Sushil Kumar and his family for his success, state BJP president Vijender Gupta said, “Sushil Kumar has brought glory to the Capital. By winning a medal in the year when we lost Dara Singh, Sushil Kumar has made his best efforts to fill the vacuum created by the legend’s demise.”
He said wrestling is an ancient Indian game and the BJP is hopeful that at the next Olympics in Brazil, Sushil Kumar will surely win a gold and bring glory to the country.
