Shaniwarwada

Shaniwarwada is located in Pune. It was the residence of the Peshwas or the prime ministers of the Maratha Empire. It was built by Peshwa Baji Rao I, prime minister of Chattrapati Shahu. Destroyed in 1828 by an unexplained fire, this place is still a popular tourist destination and attracted 1.41 million tourists last year.

Ellora Caves

Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, is a temple that has deities and mythology representing Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. It attracted 1.65 million monument lovers last year.

Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort, also a citadel located in Hyderabad, had popular diamonds in its treasury. Built by Kakatiyas and later strengthened by Rani Rudrama Devi, this monument had a footfall of 1.72 million in 2018.

Bibi Ka Maqbara

Bibi Ka Maqbara, a tomb built by Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb, in memory of his first wife Dilras Banu Begum is inspired by Taj Mahal. Representing the conjugal fidelity of Aurangzeb, this monument had 1.77 million tourists from India.
