Muliya Keshavaiah, the founder-president of Karnataka Bank Officers' Association and an office-bearer of Federation of All India Bank Employees, passed away on Tuesday. He was 81.

A graduate in Law and a post-graduate in Economics, Keshavaiah retired after 33 years of service in Karnataka Bank. Post-retirement, he was practising law as well as into agriculture.

He had also penned a book on "Facilities and Service Rules of Bank Employees."

He also has the credit of creating a Yakshagana episode on "Yesu Krista Mahathme" way back in 1976, which was later translated into English and German languages. The same book was revised and published in 2017.

He is survived by wife and four sons.
