Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Uganda and Rwanda next week, he will also travel to South Africa to attend the BRICS Summit.

Modi will first visit Rwanda from July 23 to 24. This is going to be the first visit by a Prime Minister of India to Rwanda. Modi will meet Rwandan President Paul Kagame during his visit to Kigali," said T S Tirumurti, Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Modi's visit to Uganda will be from July 24 to 25, before travelling to Johannesburg in South Africa to attend the BRICS Summit – a bloc comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Modi is likely to have bilateral meetings with some of the BRICS leaders.
