In a late realisation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his regret for creating traffic blocks on main roads in the heart of the City while campaigning for the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike polls.

Siddaramaiah on Monday apologised for creating traffic jams, especially for blocking ambulances, while campaigning for Congress candidates.

“Sometimes it (traffic jams) happens. I apologise. I have already instructed the police to ensure smooth flow of traffic,” he told reporters.

The chief minister has been criss-crossing the City in the last four days, conducting roadshows as part of poll campaign. He is usually accompanied by a large number of party leaders and workers.

On Monday, Siddaramaiah campaigned in wards coming under Gandhinagar, Malles-waram, Yalahanka and Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituencies. He is scheduled to campaign till August 20.
