A rowdy sheeter threw hot oil on a fast food joint owner in Ullal, late Saturday night.

The injured is Gafoor (30), a resident of Ullal and owner of the fast food joint. The accused is Namith, a rowdy sheeter. It is said that Namith had not cleared the bill at the food joint a week ago. Gafoor had demanded money two days ago. Instead of paying, Namith issued a life threat to Gafoor. Frightened, Gafoor filed a complaint with the Ullal police. Although the police tried to arrest Namith, they were not successful.

On Saturday, all of a sudden, Namith came near the food joint and attacked Gafoor by throwing hot oil on him. The incident created tension in the region for some time, as a large number of people gathered, alleging police inaction. The crowd dispersed only after ACP Rama Rao promised to arrest the accused at the earliest.
