The Supreme Court on Friday once again said the video recording and live streaming of the court proceedings can be done in the matter being heard by either two, three or five-judge bench.
But it clarified that this cannot be done in matrimonial cases or where the issue of privacy was involved.
A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud asked Attorney General K K Venugopal to frame holistic guidelines for its perusal and approval of the court.
The court also asked senior advocate Indira Jaising, who filed a PIL in this regard, and others to provide their suggestions to Venugopal.
The court put the matter for consideration on August 16.
The court had earlier agreed in principle for live streaming of the court proceedings, saying it is the need of the hour and an extension of the open court concept. Venugopal had said it can be first done on an experimental basis to see the technological viability.
