A technical snag hit the Namma Metro’s six-car train for the second time since its introduction last month, leading to the cancellation of two of three scheduled trips in the morning peak hour on Monday.

At the Kempegowda Station, the queues grew large with the platform 1 (towards Byappanahalli) remaining crowded even after two trains passed in the direction.

Metro officials had to run additional short-loop trips from the station to clear the rush. The big train was on track only for the third round trip. This is the second time the train developed a snag, with the first incident on July 9 grounding the train during the entire morning hours.
