After fashionista Sonam Kapoor, it's now Salman Khan's 'Dabangg' actress Sonakshi Sinha who has landed in a Twitter controversy following her tweets over the recent meat ban in Mumbai.

Expressing her disappointment over the meat ban, Sonakshi tweeted:

This is a free country! Welcome to BAN-istan... I meant india.. Stupid autocorrect.

No sooner did the actress express herself on Twitter, than the Twitteratis started trolling her for her past tweets requesting people to protect animals.

On being trolled, she further tweeted:

Why no ban on ignorance/negligence? What about the flood affected people of assam? Priorities people. Priorities.

Perhaps, Sonakshi Sinha forgot that she is the daughter of BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha whose party is demanding an eight-day ban on the sale of meat in Mumbai during the Jain fasting period.

Before taking on Sonakshi, the Twitteratis were trolling actress Sonam Kapoor for her tweets over meat ban.

Sonam had tweeted:

Our country is going to remain a 3rd world nation because of the intolerant misogynistic close minded few. https://t.co/JcIDEC3gQE

BMC has imposed a four-day ban on the sale of meat in Mumbai on September 10, 13, 17 and 18 . All the meat and poultry shops have been directed to remain closed during the four day ban.
