With the spell of fog in the Northern and Eastern India receding to a considerable extent, the Northern Railway has decided to restore the services of around 35 trains, which were either fully or partially cancelled in December.

Services of these long-distance trains will be restored by February 2. The trains were cancelled in December over safety concerns.

While some trains would be restored from February 1, others would be back in service from February 2, Northern Railways spokesperson said.

Some of the major long-distance trains which will be restored include Hatia-Anand Vihar Jharkhand Express, Howrah-New Delhi Express, Anand Vihar Samastipur Express, Jaipur-Amritsar Express and Dehradun-Ujjain Express.
