A day after 62-year-old businessman, his two servants and a driver were found murdered at a bungalow in Vivek Vihar, the investigators claim to have cracked the case on Tuesday and detained six people for their involvement in the murder.

The detained people include a woman, who allegedly gave the duplicate key to the servant of businessman’s brother-in-law. During the woman’s interrogation, the police discovered the involvement of five other people.

“All have been detained and are being questioned to ascertain the exact sequence of crime and the real motive behind it,” said a senior police officer.

So far, the police have found that the motive behind the murder was robbery of crores of rupees.

“It was pre-planned and around six people committed the crime, including the woman, aged around 25 years,” said the officer, adding that the woman is a distant relative of the deceased businessman Bajrang Lal Bokadia.

She was aware that the victim had stashed a lot of money in his bungalow. She kept a tab on his activities and planned the robbery-cum-murder.

The police have also sent teams to different states to nab the other accused.

Case cracked

“We have cracked the case and will make the arrests soon,” said the officer.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem on the four victims was done at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and the bodies were handed over to their families for last rites.

Bokadia, his driver Vinod Dubey, 40; cook Bhola Singh, 30; and a domestic help Anand, 18 were found killed inside the house on Monday morning.

The incident came to light when Raghu, a staff member of a local religious centre Oswal Bhavan located opposite to his house, came to ask for food for sadhvis who are staying at the religious centre.

He found the main door open at Bokadia’s bangalow. When none replied to the repeated calls, he entered inside and found all of them dead.

He immediately called Bokadia's associate Subhash Sethia, who is the chief of the local Jain Samaj and manages Oswal Bhavan. Sethia later called police.
