The BJP Mangaluru South Yuva Morcha has urged the Election Commission to look into the irregularities in the voters’ list in the constituency and initiate strict action.

Speaking to reporters, Morcha secretary Nandan Mallya alleged that there are around 5,900 fake voters registered in the constituency, including 200 to 300 voters from a single door number. “Most of them are Kerala students staying in hostels and PG Centres in and around Mangaluru. In spite of filing complaint to the electoral officer, no action has been initiated in this regard,” he said.

He added that the Yuva Morcha condemns the incident of around 10,000 Epic cards confiscated in Bengaluru by the Election Commission. “The Yuva Morcha in Kerala is tirelessly working to get information on the voters IDs registered there to trace the duplication in Karnataka,” he said.
