Bengaluru: At a time when a few IT companies are firing employees as a part of their restructuring plan, Bengaluru-based Infosys has added 8,203 employees in July-September, 2025. As of September 30, 2025, Infosys' total employee headcount stood at 3,31,991. In the first half of this fiscal year (April to September), the company has added 8,413 employees.
The company has also hired 12,000 freshers in H1FY26. "We had said that we would hire 15,000 to 20,000 freshers in FY26, and in the first half, we have already hired over 12,000 freshers. We are well on track to hire close to 20,000 freshers," Jayesh Sanghrajka, CFO, Infosys, said during the company's Q2 post-earnings conference.
The company also said that they will continue hiring locally for its Hubballi campus. Last year the company announced an incentive package for employees who are open to transfer to its Hubballi campus.
"In terms of the campus movement you always need to have certain senior people move to those campuses so that you start meeting the demand requirement and that's how you incentivise people to move to certain campuses and then you start building the team below that," the CFO said.
He added that they will continue hiring locally in Hubballi. "We have hired a few people," he said, without providing any number. In case of a wage hike, he said that the company has given a wage hike in January and April.
"It is generally an annual cycle and we will look at it in future. We have not decided anything for this year at this point in time," the CFO added.
