In 2024, about half of Figma’s revenue came from markets outside the US. It has accelerated its global footprint in recent years, opening offices in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, São Paulo, and now, Bengaluru.

Figma has evolved from a design tool into an AI-powered platform that enables collaboration across the product development process—from early-stage ideation to development and code. Figma’s products including Figma Design (to design and build digital products) and Dev Mode, a workspace for developers to translate designs into code, are now available to customers in India, the company said.

The opening brings new job opportunities as Figma grows its footprint in India, and deepens relationships with the local design and developer community, the company added.

"Today India is our second largest active user market. As it evolves into a global software and manufacturing hub, the value of design will only grow,” said Scott Pugh, APAC Vice President of Sales at Figma. “We’ve seen increasing demand from Indian companies, and with the office opening, we want to get closer to our users and the community here," he added.

Figma has already established a strong presence in India serving users in 85% of the country’s 28 official states, as of Q3 2025. Companies such as Airtel, CARS24, Groww, Juspay, Myntra, Swiggy, TCS and Zomato use Figma.
