Bengaluru: IT giant Wipro on Friday announced the appointment of Sandeep Dhar as the global head of its global capability centre (GCC) practice. “We are delighted to welcome Sandeep to our team. His vast experience in leading and transforming GCCs, combined with Wipro's robust capabilities and comprehensive suite of services for GCCs, will enable us to deliver superior business value to clients,” said Chief Operating Officer Sanjeev Jain.

This comes in a latest move by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Srini Pallia towards boosting slowing revenue as IT services companies have started witnessing measured business coming in from GCCs.

Wipro has seen multiple leadership exits in the past year, after former CEO Thierry Delaporte’s exit, followed by former (Chief Operating Officer) Amit Choudhary, Chief Technology Officer (CTO ) Subha Tatavarti, Chief Delivery Officer Ajit Mahale and Regional President Anis Chenchah. Most of these replacements have been through elevation of internal employees.
