Mumbai: In an important day for India's automobile sector, American multinational automotive and clean energy company Tesla formally launched its experience centre in the financial capital of Mumbai.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Tesla Experience Centre at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
State Transport Minister Pratap Saranik was among those present.
"It is very important for Maharashtra that Tesla launched its first experience centre here," Fadnavis said.
Maharashtra has a very dynamic Electric Vehicle and Electric Mobility policy.
According to him, Tesla is also coming up with necessary charging facilities.
Ahead of the opening, Tesla has already shipped the Model Y SUV to Mumbai.
