Bengaluru: Online food aggregator and grocery delivery platform Zomato announced that it will change its parent company’s name to Eternal. Presently, the company will comprise four major businesses – Zomato, Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure. This means the Zomato and other apps will not be renamed but the ticker on the stock exchanges will be changed.

“Our Board has approved this change today and I request our shareholders to also support this change. If and when it is approved, our corporate website will transition from zomato.com to eternal.com. We will also change our stock ticker from Zomato to Eternal,” Founder and Chief Executive Officer Deepinder Goyal said in a letter to shareholders.
The Gurugram-based company recently released its quarterly earrings for the October - December period, which saw its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) fall 57 per cent on a yearly basis to Rs 59 crore against Rs 138 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
