Passengers flying in low-cost carrier IndiGo can now avoid the hassles of long queues at airport check-in counters and walk straight to the security gates to board a plane with an “e-boarding pass”.
The carrier has recently introduced the ‘Advance Boarding Pass’, an opt-in facility that allows passengers to get their boarding pass 48 hours prior to the flight departure via email at no extra cost. The early check-in feature is available for fliers on the website of the carrier.
A flier opting for this facility will have to print the boarding pass before arriving at the airport. If passenger fails to do so, he can collect the boarding pass from the airport by following a regular queue at the check-in counter.
