According to a report by NDTV, his daily wage is greater than the annual revenue of many prominent companies.

One of the founders of QuantumScape, a electric vehicle (EV) battery company, Singh began his career at Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems.

Later, he founded multiple startups, including AirSoft in 1992.

Singh completed his BTech from Stanford University. He then went on to University of California, Berkeley to get an MBA.

in 2010, Singh founded QuantumScape, which focused on breakthrough innovations, particularly in battery technology.

At Quantumscape, Singh adopted a new approach: instead of developing traditional lithium-ion batteries, he started using solid-state batteries for electric vehicles. These batteries don't use liquid electrolytes, which makes them safer. Moreover, they are able to charge vehicles faster and increase energy density, thereby solving common issues encountered by owners of electric vehicles.

Last February, Singh stepped down as CEO, paving way for Siva Sivaram. Sivaram joined the company as President in September 2023, though Jagdeep Singh still continues as Chairman of the Board.

According to his LinkedIn, Singh is the currently the CEO of an unnamed stealth start-up.
