Designed and introduced by EMC and NGO Junior Associate (JA) in late 2008, the employability programme, Bridge IT Employability, provides vital skills to students, enabling them to identify careers where they can maximise their potential. It has been introduced in nine Tier 2 & 3 engineering colleges in Bangalore and has benefitted nearly 1,400 students.
Students across the country can access the programme at www.siliconindia.com/bridgeit, where EMC is also trying to create several web 2.0-based content for experts to interact with students at their own pace and time. EMC has signed up with nearly 200 colleges through its EMC Academic Alliance to teach storage as subject.
