Food inflation soars to 17.05 pc, FM gravely concerned

Food inflation had stood at 20.56 per cent during the same period a year ago.
Although vegetable prices are likely to moderate in the coming weeks, protein-based food items like milk, fish and egg are expected to remain firm.
