Journalist Vir Sanghvi has slammed Air India for their service, where he said the airlines changed his Premium Economy class booking to Economy class.
Taking to his X account, Sanghvi expressed his dissatisfaction with their service and said he has "lost count of the number of times @airindia has done this to so many passengers."
"Why would premium passengers book on @airindia? Isn’t it time for Campbell Wilson to actually manage the airline?
Tagging the Tata Group, the journalist even expressed how such incidents "never happened till Tata Group took over."
Sanghvi attached a screenshot of the message he received from Air India about his travel update.
"Important travel update- cabin class changed"
"Your Premium Economy class booking for AI 353 on 20 Jan 25 from Bangkok to Mumbai has been changed to Economy class. We regret the inconvenience," the message read.
The post garnered over 85k views and several comments too. Air India team too replied, "apologising for the inconvenience caused".
"As requested, we have provided you with the details of the charges for upgrading to business class. Please rest assured that you are eligible for a full refund in case of cancellation or compensation in the event of downgrading to economy class. Inconvenience caused to you is deeply regretted and appreciate your kind understanding," the reply read.
After the post by Sanghvi garnered attention, may other X users also have shared about their similar experience with the airlines.
