HDFC Bank to unveil robotic assistant

HDFC Bank is planning to introduce Intelligent Robotic Assistant (IRA), a humanoid, at one of its branches to provide service assistance. “In the initial phase, it will be deployed in branches. We hope that our customers find value in it,” HDFC Bank Digital Banking Country Head Nitin Chugh said.

According to Chugh, the bank will also look at offering services and products via other modes going forward. “We are looking at block chain, artificial intelligence and IoT in the future to offer our services and products,” Chugh said.

Meanwhile, with an aim to manage the city with greater efficiency and effectiveness, the Cisco Lighthouse City in 2016 has been announced. “Cisco has partnered with six cities in the country and with this collaboration, Jaipur can become the lighthouse, not only in the country, but in South Asia,” CM said.
