Designed for the ‘last mile’ distribution of temperature controlled and refrigerated products specifically for a hot country like India, the new solution will ensure that perishable food items are transported at their freshest.

It has introduced its brand Thermo King B 100 unit with a cooling capacity of 1050W at zero degree celsius fitted in with a container can be modeled for small refrigerated trucks like Tata Ace.

The B100 unit works with the DC (direct current) power supply from the alternator that is driven from the vehicle’s engine and does not need a separate fuel engine. “It is a unique technology and a great fuel saver”, Chairman Venkatesh Valluri said. A refrigerated container from Rand for Tata ce will cost Rs 2 lakh, Valluri said.
