Jaguar Land Rover India (JLRIL) is aiming to nearly double its market share and take on the might of the Germans in the Indian luxury car market.
“We hope to take on the Germans pretty well in the luxury car market in India. With new-age products, it is easy for us to increase market share, and so in the next 2-3 years, we should be able to double the same,” JLRIL President Rohit Suri said.
The company, which launched its first seven-seater car, the new Discovery Sport at a starting price of Rs 46.1 lakh (ex-showroom, pre-octroi in Mumbai) in the Indian market, is pretty bullish about the prospects of its new launch.
