Bengaluru: The Government of Karnataka on Sunday accorded in-principle approval to the investment proposal of Krisoda India Private Limited to establish a manufacturing unit for steel products at Sira Industrial Area, in Tumakuru district.

The unit, which will manufacture thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) bars, rods, and allied products, has an investment amount of Rs 138 crore. It aims to generate employment to about 160 persons.

The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) will
allot 12 acres of land in the district for this purpose.
