Morgan Stanley to buy discount brokerage E*Trade Financial

Morgan Stanley has received approval from the Federal Reserve to acquire discount brokerage E*Trade Financial Corp, the US bank said on Wednesday.

Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE expect to complete the deal on October 2, the bank said.
