Microsoft on Monday unveiled Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Lumia phones pre-loaded with Windows 10 for the first time in India.Interacting with Deccan Herald, Microsoft India Director (Channel Sales) Ravi Kumar said the products are designed for Windows fans and professionals who desire a premium phone that takes full advantage of Windows 10.
“Our device strategy allows individuals and organisations to increase productivity, enhance cloud access to their devices, and mobility experience across platforms. The Lumia Windows 10 devices offer a seamless experience to users across its devices like their PCs, tablets, smartphones and XBox (its gaming device),” said Ravi Kumar.
Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, with dual SIM facility, will be available from December 11 at ‘best buy’ prices of Rs 43,699 and Rs 49,399 respectively. Pre-order bookings start on Monday, and the smartphones will be available to buy at both online and physical stores.

“We have positioned Lumia Windows 10 phones to begin the journey of more personalised computing. With new features like Cortana and Microsoft Edge, we have made interactions more easy and secure,” he said.
The devices also bundles for free the Microsoft Display Dock, priced at Rs. 5,999, until stocks last. Lumia phones with Windows 10 Continuum features help it get connected with any monitor via the Microsoft Display Dock. When connected, the phone’s user interface switches to an interface that looks like a Windows 10 desktop.
The Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch display, a 1.8-Hz Snapdragon hexa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (supports 200 GB expandable storage), and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Lumia 950XL has a bigger 5.7-inch display and a 3,340 mAh battery. Both the devices feature a 20-MP PureView rear camera with triple LED flash, and a front camera of 5 MP with wide angle lens. Lumia 950 XL will feature liquid cooling technology to dissipate the heat.
Microsoft unveiled Windows 10 for computers and tablets in July. Since the launch, Windows 10 is already running on 110 million devices. Airtel consumers can double their data for free on purchasing their Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
