Paytm opens corporate office in Vizag

Paytm on Saturday inaugurated a new corporate office in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam.

In a statement issued, Paytm stated that last few weeks the company has registered a strong surge in payment transactions across Andhra Pradesh. “We have been witnessing spurt in transactions in all major cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad,” states the company.

To support the growing demand for cashless solutions in the region, Paytm has also announced it will add over 1,000 offline agents to its Andhra and Telangana team.

Speaking at the launch, Paytm Founder-CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma said an easy and affordable digital payment solution can help democratise the payments sector in India.

“Our Visakhapatnam campus is a showcase of our commitment to the region’s development and reflects its importance as an important market for us. Our mission is to make cashless payments a way of life across India’s cities and towns. We will ensure there are more merchants across Andhra Pradesh accepting Paytm than ever before”, he added.
