Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday asked infotech and electronics majors to invest in his state and tap the infrastructure at its new capital Naya Raipur, spread across 237 sq km.
In Bengaluru, to participate at the IESA Vision Summit, Singh claimed that his state had the best IT policy, which offers 80 per cent rebate in the premium of land lease. The lease period will be 30 years, which can be relaxed if the investment is more than Rs 100 crore.
The state also offers 5 per cent additional benefit on technical and financial bids. He said that Chhattisgarh offers 30 per cent cheaper electricity than any other state.
The Madhya Pradesh government, meanwhile, announced a new policy to facilitate fabless companies to set up base in the state. Hari Ranjan Rao, IT Secretary, Madhya Pradesh, said the state would provide land free of cost and uninterrupted power and water supply at frozen rates for the next 10 years.
J Satyanarayana, advisor, (e-Governance, Electronics and IT), Andhra Pradesh, said the state is setting up a hardware park at Kakinada and wants to turn Visakhapatnam into an electronics hub.
